Student reads Golden Seagull article and thinks, "I could do better."
Sandy Baumheiser, a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences at Marquette University, opened Facebook early Monday morning to find that an article published on Marquette's satirical news outlet, The Golden Seagull, had been circulating around his news feed.
Curious, Baumheiser clicked on the article to read what all the fuss was about. Once he finished reading he shrugged, then mumbled, "meh, I could do better."
Inspired by the mediocraty of the Seagull's content, Baumheiser opened a word document on his computer, ready to brainstorm ideas, but got distracted by a Buzzfeed Tasty video.
"I'm planning on emailing [The Golden Seagull] with an article I wrote, but I need to think of a really good idea first," said Baumheiser.
The editor of the Golden Seagull reports that he has not yet received Baumheiser's email.
