Milwaukee begins street car track from 19th and Kil to Qdoba

The city of Milwaukee broke ground Friday morning on the construction of a new street car track that runs strictly from 19th and Kilbourn to Qdoba.

"There has been a lot of criticism against our plan to bring street cars to the city," Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett said. "To combat that, we decided to start work on a new route that people would actually use."

Marquette students could not be more excited for the new initiative. Freshman Katy Lewis says the street car will impact many of her future plans.

"The one thing I always tell myself when I go out is 'just make sure you are able to walk by the end of the night.' That's not a problem anymore with the new track! This opens up a world of possibilities!"

Not everyone is happy with the new plans though. In a desperate attempt to appear fair and objective, the Golden Seagull is going to give a voice to these shit opinions.

"The track is a waste of money. Dog Haus is way better than Qdoba," said tragically uninformed sophomore Richie Kelsall.

Construction is estimated to be completed by the end of this Summer. If the new street car proves to be a success, there is early talks of expanding the track to include a Caffrey's stop.
